This might actually be a huge test for me tomorrow night in Wallington, NJ for ACE.
2012, I stated through the Hardway Podcast, was the year for a Good Cause. The Good Cause not only stops at TheJonHarderDOTCom. In fact, it starts tomorrow night as well for American Championship Entertainment. ACE is home. ACE is the base. And although it’s been a rough 2011 for ACE, 2012 is the biggest opportunity for this company to start Chapter 2. Since A New Era Has Begun, my goal has always been to expose ACE through my voice on DVDs or whatever facet I was able to do. And at Redemption, I have a huge test to do so.
ACE is so vastly underrated with its wrestling throughout independent wrestling, it’s disgusting. The entire product is such a great representation of the old school pacing of a show combined with the hybrid styles of wrestling infused into one unique product. It’s not just work-rate; it’s the story of how a proper wrestling show should be.
Tomorrow will be a tag team haven, as three different tag team matches with three different flavors take place: the future of tag team wrestling with The Movement facing the All-Star Sensations; an old school tag team blood feud with La Casa Italiano against Ed Scanlon and Dan Murdoch; the Tag Team championship with Quiet Riot getting their last crack at William Wyeth and…that other Scanlon brother.
Tomorrow will be infused with so many different styles: Mascara Celestial and Chapuline Negro prepare to take flight in what many people are calling a “Lucha Libre” match; Bobby Fish and Jack Gallow prepare to go at each other in what many consider to be a “Strong Style Showdown”; and Bill Carr and Nathan Banner are going to fight in a straight-up heavyweight brawl.
Tomorrow will also be a night of chance: Who will win an old school battle royal to gain a shot at NEW ACE Diamond Division champion Andrew “Tiny” Johnson; 3 men step foot into a triple threat for the ACE Heavyweight championship with champion Jorge Luis Rivera, Eddie Kingston and Stockade and there is only a 33% chance of winning said match.
Tomorrow is big for ACE. I’m psyched. I’m ready to commentate. I’m a small cog. ACE is the company to look out for. Tomorrow night, ACE will give every wrestler a chance to redeem themselves. ACE will have REDEMPTION.
And that huge test on my conscience: to call the best wrestling in New Jersey, bar none.
