To be a die-hard Mets fan, especially in this day and age, you have to follow them religiously 24/7, either through social media, television, or radio. In my case, being dragged away by my beautiful girlfriend for a weekend, I needed to get my fix by any means necessary. Thankfully, due to this smart phone, I was able to follow the Mets/Braves weekend through the MLB At-Bat app.

Saturday, I read, prior to the 2nd game of the 3 game series, that Mets closer Jennry Mejia was suspended for 80 games by testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance enhancing drug. Basically another term for the dirty word "steroid", Mejia tested positive and now is gone for half the season. Even if his statement reads he did not willingly or knowingly take the PED, he got caught. Mejia, sadly as a fan of yours, you got caught and you deserve the ban.

While out, I only caught the top of the 7th inning on TV. By hook or by crook, the Mets for 3 runs in the inning. If it wasn't for the top of the 9th when they got their third hit, the Mets would've had more runs than hits. If Saturday ended the weekend, I would have really have been calling for the lineup switch and Wright going back to 3rd.

However, it wasn't just the lineup. Dillon Gee had a rough 5th inning on Saturday, and the Mets never recovered. In spite of which, I'm still very happy in having him as the #5 starter. Just an off night and, in my superstitious view, the Turner Field curse was in full effect.

Sunday came and I was to catch 5 of the 9 innings in today's ballgame. El Porko himself, Bartolo Colon was on the mound and gave his team the chance to win. With the exception of the rough second inning (the failed double play which further digs Flores in a deeper hole defensively, the Simmons two RBI triple), Colon escaped virtually unscathed.

I hate to say that I missed his RBI single, but I missed El Porko's big hitting escapade. The replay video and GIF files are great, and the bench popped humongous for it, so big ups to Colon for stretching out of the comfort zone.

Lucas Duda struggles against lefties? After three hits today off two southpaw hurlers, the Dude proved a point.

I will be the 1st to admit that I was totally against the Michael Cuddyer signing, but the 1st week of the year, I'm eating my words. He has brought a spunk and credibility to the roster. Most of all, he has power. I was wrong; he's more than just David Wright's BFF. LIVE OR LET CUDDYER! He's been a good pickup thus far. Thanks for the 2 run shot in the first.

Lastly, although Familia got his 1st save today, I give big props to Jerry Blevins. 3 tough lefties, including that Met killing SOB Freddie Freeman, all sat down by the former National. Blevins, you are the 2015 version of Pedro Feliciano. Welcome aboard. (Insert standard "Jerry!" chant here)

Mets win 4-3, El Porko gets win #2, and now the Mets come home. Opening Day is tomorrow. I went to the 2014 Opening Day and it was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in my life. All the fans going tomorrow, be safe and enjoy. Time to get #deGrominant and have the 2014 NL Rookie of the Year take charge against the Phillies. I'll have my transistor radio set to WOR 710 tomorrow at the day job. To close it out, a quote I tweeted that I heard from SNY today:

"Opening day in New York: there is nothing like it." - Ron Darling. I can personally attest to that. @Mets
